Silent Ripples Inc is a Suicide bereavement support started in 2010 in Murray Bridge.
The group was started when we identified that there was no peer support group in the Murraylands for people who had a loved one who had taken their own life. This is a time of great grief, and it is not fully understood by people who do not have lived experience of this kind of loss.
We now not only hold meetings to support people but also do a lot of awareness raising with the aim to prevent further loss by suicide.
At Silent Ripples, we believe no one bereaved through suicide should have to face their journey alone.
As the only peer support group of its kind in South Australia, we’re expanding our meetings to regional communities and offering them at different times so more people can access support closer to home.
